At McClelland Therapy and Consulting, we have over 30 years of experience in the behavioral health industry, providing consulting, license supervision, and therapy services in the state of North Carolina. Carol holds several North Carolina credentials including LCMHCS (Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor), LCAS (Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist), and CCS (Certified Clinical Supervisor) and is capable of meeting your individual and organizational needs. We recognize that every client has unique needs that require personalized attention. We are dedicated to partnering with you to achieve your desired outcomes.
My Practice
My practice helps people who are struggling with life situations or challenges find options, solutions, and resources. I offer a private, confidential telehealth therapy service that is geared toward addressing your personal issues in a supportive way that empowers change as quickly as possible. I provide a supportive atmosphere that fosters change and growth. I have 30 years of experience providing services to individuals with mental health and substance use diagnoses and co-occurring disorders.
I hold a specialty license in the treatment of addictive disorders and also am licensed to provide mental health services. I have a proven successful track record with providing services to individuals who have dual disorders (mental health and substance abuse) and have years of experience providing treatment in a variety of settings. I also offer supervision to practitioners.
In all of my years of practice, I have seen many people find the magic inside of them that helps them recover from their trauma and their pain. They have gone from surviving to thriving. I would love to help you find that for yourself!

Consulting
I completed my Master of Arts in Counseling in 1998 and my Masters in Healthcare Leadership in 2023. I have extensive experience in the provision of services to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. I have worked in settings that offer methadone and buprenorphine, criminal justice, outpatient, residential, and intensive outpatient settings among others. I have been a CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) surveyor since 2008.
